Feature of the Month – April 2008
Think you have a talent for taking a good picture? Well, here’s your chance to prove it!
In conjunction with the CONTACT Toronto Photography Festival, the BIA is launching its first ever Forest Hill Village BIA Photography Contest. The thematic focus for CONTACT this year is "Between Memory and History", so we're looking for your best photos of the Village, whether it be your favourite Village landmarks, bustling street scenes, captured moments with friends and family, or even great vintage photos of the Village from the past.
Three grand prize winners will each receive $250 and have their photographs exhibited in one of three acclaimed Forest Hill Village art galleries, Art Interiors, Leonardo Galleries and Lonsdale Gallery from May 27th-May 31st, 2008. Runners-up will be showcased in businesses in the Village along Spadina Road. Winners will be contacted by telephone and/or e-mail and be officially introduced at a gala on May 26th, 2008 at Sotto in the Village (425 Spadina Road) from 7-9pm.
To enter the photo contest, drop off or mail your high-resolution photos on cd to 'Forest Hill Village BIA Photography Contest' at One Hour MotoPhoto, 417 Spadina Road, Toronto, ON, M5P 2W3. You may also submit your photographs in jpeg. via email to motophoto2@bellnet.ca (please put 'Forest Hill Village BIA Photography Contest' in the subject line). Please include your name, home address (must be a resident of the Greater Toronto Area), email address, phone number and any titles or descriptions you have for your images. You may submit as many images as you'd like, though you are only eligible to win once. The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 23rd, 2008 at 5pm.
